One of the world’s largest land-based salmon farming facilities is located in Fitjar, on the west coast of Norway, owned by Lerøy Vest and Sjøtroll Havbruk. Built by Total Betong AS, the facility covers an area of 18,000 m², with 14,000 m² of building structures.

The facility houses 10 RAS systems for initial feeding, growth, presmolt, smolt, and postsmolt, resulting in the production of 12.5 million smolt annually.

To prevent future concrete and reinforcement damage, all critical surfaces are treated with Controll Innerseal®.
